Kathak (कथक) is an Indian classical dance form, popular in North India, that combines storytelling with dance, song, and music. Kathakar (कथाकार) - the dancer who presents and narrates the story has been well-versed in all three aspects dancing, singing, and music with an emphasis on Taal (time cycle).
